MEET OUR STAFF
Our dedicated staff team is at the heart of everything we do at Morning Star Montessori. From our qualified, caring educators to our administrative, support, and ancillary staff, every member of our community plays an important role in creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment. Together, we are committed to nurturing each child's development and ensuring every child feels confident to learn, explore, and grow.
At Morning Star most teachers speak more than one language and every effort is made to ensure that there is excellent communication between your child and his/her teacher. The main medium of instruction is English and upon completion of the preschool programme at 6 years of age most of the children are able to speak English fluently, read words and often sentences too. They are also able to write clearly legible words to a high standard.
Highly Qualified and Dedicated
Every Morning Star Montessori teacher is fully qualified for their role. They hold accredited Montessori theory and practical qualifications, traditional teaching qualifications with additional Montessori training, or both. This ensures they have a deep understanding of child development and the Montessori approach to learning while meeting all legal requirements for their positions.
Professionally Registered
Our teachers are proud members in good standing of both the South African Council for Educators (SACE) and the South African Montessori Association (SAMA). They maintain their professional registration by meeting the required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, ensuring they uphold the highest standards of teaching practice.

We believe that exceptional teachers never stop learning. Our educators are dedicated to continuous professional growth and regularly attend workshops, training courses, and conferences that refresh, expand, and deepen their knowledge and skills. This ongoing learning enables them to bring current educational best practices into the classroom.
Focussed on Wellbeing
The wellbeing of every child is a top priority. All Morning Star Montessori teachers are trained in First Aid and CPR, and their certifications are kept current to ensure they are prepared to respond confidently and appropriately whenever needed.
