At Morning Star Montessori, we strive to give your child a well-balanced education at all levels of development, for each child to gain the ability to solve challenges, to use freedom wisely, to respect himself/herself and others, and to take joy in learning and living.
We see each child as an individual and take our responsibility to help your child in building the foundations for a lifetime of creative learning very seriously.

Just because you found an answer online, does that mean it’s the right one? 🤔💻
That’s a question worth asking, especially in a world where information is available at our fingertips!
Looking back at Global Media and Information Literacy Week, which took place from 24–31 October, we’re sharing a little glimpse into an interesting research challenge our Year 7 learners took on at Morning Star Montessori.
Their task? Discovering the origins of the familiar saying, “Go forth and conquer.”
💭 Sounds simple enough, right?
But as they began investigating, things became a little more interesting!
The learners explored a variety of sources, from search engines and religious texts to online resources and AI tools, comparing the information they found and questioning whether the answers were as reliable as they first appeared.
What started with an assumption about where the phrase originated soon became a much bigger conversation about research, conflicting information and the importance of asking thoughtful questions.
And perhaps the most valuable discovery wasn’t the origin of the saying at all.
It was recognising that finding information and understanding whether that information is trustworthy are two very different things 🤓⭐️
At Morning Star, we want our learners to develop the confidence to explore ideas, think independently and approach the world around them with curiosity and discernment.
Because learning isn’t only about knowing the answers. Sometimes, it’s about knowing which questions to ask 💙

Who knew wash day could be this much fun? 🫧☀️
On a particularly hot day at Morning Star Montessori, our Preschool children found a rather creative way to spend some time outdoors!
With the ongoing water challenges meaning that water games weren’t an option, a different idea came to life: a little wash day for the dolls, their clothes and, well… just about anything else that found its way into the washing basins! 😅💦
What started as a simple, spontaneous activity became a lovely opportunity for our children to explore, work together and enjoy doing something practical with their hands.
And that’s something we love about Montessori education.
Learning doesn’t always have to look like a formal lesson. Everyday activities can offer opportunities to practise coordination, independence, cooperation and care for the things around us.
Sometimes, the most meaningful moments are the ones that happen quite naturally ⭐️

Year 2 vs Year 6 — a game of chess and a lesson in character.
A chess match between a Year 2 and a Year 6 child gave us a beautiful reminder that the lessons learned at school go far beyond the classroom 🤓
After the game, the Year 2 child was congratulated for winning the game. The two players shook hands in a gesture of mutual respect and appreciation.
Winning is rewarding, but how we respond to winning and losing says far more about our character.
Respect. Kindness. Dignity. Sportsmanship.
